Computer History Museum
The Computer History Museum is located in Mountain View, CA and has one of the most extensive collections and archives of computers in the world. As computers have become integral parts of our everyday life, I felt that it was important to learn about its history and educating the public of this everyday object.
Looking back into the history of computer language, I drew inspiration from the earliest form of coding found on punch cards. This created a basis for the Computer History Museum and typeface. The identity of CHM is shown through stationery, brochures, promotional posters, web, mobile, and interactive installation.
Graphic elements including custom CHM typeface based on punch cards.
Light projection signage that can be used for interior and exterior signage.
Poster series created with custom digital hoarding typeface created from the grid of a microchip processor.
Women in Computer History Installation
This is an interactive installation that gives attendees a preview of featured exhibits within the museum. The current exhibit focuses on women in computer history and bringing light to their contributions. Each column of dots represents a decade and the seats in corresponding columns act as a trigger to show the viewer a preview of what each woman's contributions are.
